Sprint is an event of the scrum framework, it is a time-boxed event of 2-4 weeks or less where the scrum team will work on the sprint backlog which was created from the previous sprint planning.
During the duration of the sprint a daily meeting is held where each team member should answer the following 3 questions:
- What did you do yesterday?
- What will you do today?
- Are there any impediments?
A sprint review follows after the end of the sprint, this meeting is between the development team, the scrum master, the product owner and stakeholders to show or to demo the customers what was accomplished during the sprint.
The Sprint Retrospective follows after the sprint which the team discusses how they can improve and work efficiently the next sprint.
What is a Scrum Event?
Scrum Event is a time-boxed event or a meeting, it may end earlier that the defined time limit but the limit is always fixed. The Scrum Master facilitates this events and reminds the team to keep it within the time-box.
